About Discovery Student Adventures
Discovery Student Adventures offers teacher-led educational trips to domestic and international destinations for students in grades 5-12. Our travelers go behind the scenes with hands-on instruction from local experts and experience exhilarating activities that capture the adventurous spirit of Discovery. Each trip is powered by Discovery Education's cutting-edge digital content that brings the adventure to life—even before travelers board the plane. Online lessons, webinars, and videos will help set the stage for an amazing journey. Teachers get full access to engaging destination videos, detailed lesson plans, modular extensions, pre-trip student assignments, and more. Students can earn academic credit and service learning hours.
Changing lives one adventure at a time
With Discovery Student Adventures, it doesn't matter whether you're headed across the country or around the world. Every Discovery trip includes a community service project that makes a lasting impact on the places we visit. From saving endangered sea turtles in Greece, to promoting the health of rainforests in Costa Rica, to helping disabled children at an orphanage in South Africa. In 2011, we started our Global Student Support Program, supplying educational resources for students in Costa Rica, China, South Africa, and Ecuador. The program will continue in 2012 as teachers and students have an opportunity to hand deliver the supplies. It's all part of our commitment to enriching lives and making a global impact.
